What a win by Bubba! While I was routing for my guys in Sunday I wasn’t all that disappointed to see Bubba win.
Even with Bubba’s great win in the playoff I still pick Louis Oosthuizen’s double eagle on Sunday as the greatest shot of the tournament (of the season so far). I had wanted to put up a Youtube video of the shot, but it looks like most are being pulled off Youtube because of a copyright claim.
As for my guys, the day was a bit up and down. Zach Johnson had it down to -3 for the day and even for the tournament through 15, but stumbled coming home finishing with 3 bogeys to shoot even for the day, +3 for the tournament and T32. Hunter Mahan managed to stay even for most of the day, but also had his troubles coming home with bogeys on 16 and 17, finishing at -2 and T12. Tiger played as mediocre as he had all week, shooting a 74 and finishing T40. The bright spots for the day were Jim Furyk who shot a -2 70 on Sunday and finished alone in 11th and Matt Kuchar, my top finisher, with a -8 and tie for 3rd place. Kuchar could have made a run at it if not for a double bogey on the 9th, where he went from -2 to even for the day.
When the results were tabulated I finished with $818,080.00 and 56th overall. That leaves me in 33rd place for the month of April and 64th place overall.
With the Masters over we are onto the RBC Heritage.
