2012 Masters Round 3 Recap

A little late (was travelling yesterday), but looking back at yesterday there was lots of movement on moving day. It was quite a day at the top and bottom of the leaderboard, with great rounds by Phil and Peter Hanson and not so great rounds by McIlroy and several others. Overnight talk seems to be saying it is Phil’s to lose on Sunday, even though he is one back.

As for my guys, Mahan had a huge day moving up into T6 with a 4 under 68. Kuchar continued his steady play with another 70 and sits alone in 5th. Furyk was even par and goes into the 4th round in -1 for the tournament. Zach Jonson didn’t have a great day with a 75 and bringing up the rear is Tiger, who was even par for the day, but sits way back after a 75 in the second round.

I’ll be routing for Mahan and Kuchar on Sunday, but if I was a betting man I would be putting my money on Mickelson, the guy knows how to win at Augusta and I am sure he will bring his A+ game on Sunday.
